I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. With a strong desire to deepen my personal practice and continue to share this gift with others. I competed my 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training in Amorgos Greece in 2017. The drive to increase her knowledge has allowed her to complete training in Trauma Informed Yoga, where she is able to work with victims of physical and emotional trauma, veterans and .... first responders effectively and increase personal growth and healing. Although I love both a strenuous physical practice and time to sit and "be", most importantly my classes are accessible to yogis of all skill levels, potential shapes, ages, and interests. Aqua Kira Yoga training has given me the opportunity to work with yogis with limited mobility, physical limitations an brain injuries. Whether teaching a beginner, vigorous vinyasa class or a course on Myofascial Release, students can expect to explore their strengths, work on personal focus, and learn to find balance on and off the mat. I have recently completed my advanced teacher training in I AM Yoga Nidra which is my love and passion. Yoga Nidra is made for everybody, no matter what limitation or body type. It is a sleep based meditation technique that can allows you to increase the healing potential of the body and access the bliss body where your internal programing and invisible impressions are held. Through Nidra everyone can experience a profound relaxation response that enables balance and restoration of the parasympathetic nervous system which works at the root to prevent excess stress from coming back. It is proven to reduce the symptoms of PTSD, addiction, stress, depression and anxiety and insomnia. I am available for private instruction, group classes, lectures and Trauma counseling.
