Tina has been studying yoga and meditation for more than 25 years. Trained as an actress, she was
certified as a yoga instructor in 1998 by eminent yogi Ana Forrest of the Forrest Yoga Circle and has
been teaching ever since. In 2003, she founded Yoga Jones in Ventura, California, the first studio in the area to offer a variety of yoga styles. She owned and operated the studio until 2016, and continues to be one of Ventura's favorite teachers!
Tina completed a Therapeutic Yoga Training at the Santa Barbara Yoga Center with internationally acclaimed teachers, Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal in 2018 and fell in love with this type of yoga that has helped so many people who thought yoga was not for them.
Tina’s teaching also incorporates several traditional styles and influences, including Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Ayurveda and Buddhist mindfulness meditation, which she has been practicing since 1990. Her classes focus on both the physical (soma) and energy (prana) bodies and are laced with humor and insight. Her classes emphasize realization of yoga’s potential for unlocking each student’s physical, mental and spiritual capacities.
