Hi, I’m Jas! I’m a certified yoga instructor in Houston, Texas. I’ve been doing yoga for about 4 years. Before I started going to the gym, I wanted a way to work out & stay in shape, so I tried yoga. I absolutely loved it! And....so my yoga journey began. At first, I would watch videos on YouTube...which I found to be somewhat helpful, until I realized, they can’t see me! So I had no way of knowing if my body was correctly aligned to avoid injury, or if I was even doing the poses correctly. I decided I’d try a yoga studio. My first yoga class was.......overwhelming. So many people, so many poses, & very fast paced. I didn’t know what I had gotten myself into! The instructors never took time to actually talk through poses, or reposition me. If I was wrong, I was wrong. Needless to say, I went home & regrouped. I didn’t want to give up, so I started to study.... Fast forward to now, Quarantine birthed “Vibes with Jas”. I wanted to bring relaxation/ mediation & yoga during a crazy time, to those in my community. But ..I didn’t want it to be “just another yoga class”. I wanted it to be a..vibe. I wanted people of all levels to be able to practice in a judgment-free zone. People that had never done yoga before were in the park catching vibes! It was truly amazing. With things going back to “normal” I wanted to keep the vibes going, so I started teaching private yoga. With 1:1 sessions, students get the attention they need, which is difficult to find a studio setting. Private sessions are perfect for those who are new to yoga, want 1:1 attention, are maybe a little shy for large studios, or have specific goals and needs to be addressed. Let’s catch a vibe!
