Yin is a very slow, still yoga style that takes the practitioner deep into their body and mind. Generally a yin yoga practice will involve very few poses (around four to six for a 60-75 minute class) but the poses will be held for a longer period of time— anywhere from one to five minutes for beginners, all the way up to even 20 minutes for some poses and practitioners.
